Community Radio Station
Calcutta Avant Garde has already been approached to the Central Govt. to establish a Community Radio Station at Panagar New Market, West Bardhaman, West Bengal, and from Central Govt. we have got the initial proceedings to open the centre.
Needs of the targeted community
- Entertainment – like music, songs, different short play, recitation and comics.
- Day to day news of Govt. Policies regarding cultivation, small industry, banking policy, Govt. schemes.
- Education programme mainly class x & xii level.
- Placement news programme for employment.
- Up-to-date news of National & International games.
- Celebration of special days – 26th January, 15th August, Netaji’s birth day, Gandhiji’s birth day, Children’s day, Women’s day, Mothers day and many other special days.
- Devotional programme.
Conclusion
So, it is very clear that we have to make the programme as the targeted community needs. The above type of programme, may be in news form, may be in other creative forms, and have to be broadcasted.
On the basis of survey report we have to make the programme and every six months after a survey will be organized to reach directly to the community people.
